A.Dear Client,

According to Labour Laws, individuals aged 18 and above are limited to working 48 hours per week, not exceeding 9 hours in a day, with a spreadover not exceeding 10½ hours. Overtime rules apply if these limits are exceeded. The central government has introduced four Labour Codes, which have now capped daily and weekly working hours at 12 and 48 hours, respectively. This adjustment allows for the possibility of implementing a 4-day work week, assuming 12 working hours each day.

A.Dear Client,
As per Labour Laws, an adult (over 18 years of age) cannot work for more than 48 hours in a week and not more than 9 hours in a day. Further, the spreadover should not exceed 10½ hours. Otherwise, the overtime rules are applicable. The central government has released four Labour Codes to update the rules governing employer-employee relations and modify labour laws. The daily and weekly working hours have been restricted to 12 hours and 48 hours, respectively, under the new labour codes. This has made it possible to introduce a 4-day work week (assuming 12 working hours every working day in the week).
