42 hrs duty for a group A central government employees

Senior formation directs to call Group A officers of central government on duty for 6 hours shifts (0800-1400hrs & 1400-2000Hrs) on all 7 days i. e total 42 hrs a week.

According to Labour Laws, individuals aged 18 and above are limited to working 48 hours per week, not exceeding 9 hours in a day, with a spreadover not exceeding 10½ hours.
