Dear Sir/Mam,
Kindly I am looking for urgent help as my this new employer is asking for experience letter of all previous organizations but somehow I lost experience letter copies of my very old two of the organizations and I tried to email them but below is their response and can you please help suggest me.

Organization 1 - Vodafone Idea (I worked in Idea Cellular at that time long back in 2010 for 5 months tenure) , I provided them my Salary slips during that time , my offer letter , my FNF that has Joining date , resignation date & termination date.

Response received as :-
Dear Employee,

Thank you for contacting us

The Joint Venture between ABG and Vodafone commenced on August 31, 2018 as Vodafone Idea Limited. Due to this, both erstwhile Vodafone India Limited and erstwhile Idea Cellular Limited ceased to exist with immediate effect. At Vodafone Idea Limited, being a different legal entity, we are not in a position to validate any past data and hence are not issuing any communication / letters about the past period.

We regret to inform you that the required letter cannot be issued

Organization 2 - PENTA Consulting UK (I worked in India through PENTA consultancy UK long back in 2010) , I provided them my offer letter.

Response received as :-

Good afternoon, Dharamvir.

Thank you for your email, confirming your request of an employment reference letter, as advised we have strict retention periods for holding data, and this is currently set at 10 years. As Penta is currently certified to 9001 and 27001 ISO standards, we are audited regularly to ensure the retention periods are met. If your placement had been within the 10-year period, then we would have been able to carry out your request but unfortunately your placement with Penta was 14 years ago, so Penta is unable to assist you at this time. Also, just to answer your question regarding being an employee all our employee data will also be removed after 10 years; however, you can see from your paperwork you are referred to as a Contractor not an employee. I just wanted to clarify this with you. My apologies for being unable to assist you with your request.

Kind regards

A.Dear Client,

Regrettably, the positions taken by both of your former employers seem to be justified from their perspectives. Each company establishes its record-keeping policies based on relevance and necessity. Your attempts to seek assistance from your ex-employers have been met with responses expressing their inability to help. In these circumstances, it might be beneficial to share these responses with your current employer, fostering understanding and consideration. A positive relationship between an employee and employer is crucial for the company's growth.

A.Dear Client,
Unfortunately, the stands taken by both of your ex-employers in the matter appear to be right in their point of view. Every company has its policy to keep its records or database depending upon its importance and necessity. So your approach to your ex-employers is responded back regretting to be of any help in the matter. Given the situation, you may show these responses to your present employer who may understand and consider it. A good understanding and healthy relationship between an employee and employer always proves its contribution towards the growth of the company.
