I'm working in one of the reputed company.
As a software testing engineer.
Recently in YouTube I have seen the advertisement stating for 9rs. We can Learn AI and Chat GPT.
Because there are multiple layoffs are going in the IT industry so I thought to grow my skills on AI.
Joined their Be10x workshop.
During the workshop they informed 2lac worth course they are giving for just 10,800.
That too we can pay in two part
5400+GST (972).
I paid half and joined
Post that the course is very worst, it's simple as we can learned it in YouTube also without any cost.
There's no live session only pre recorded video.
If we have any doubt we have to fill the form. No direct discussion.
Even they are taking GST from us but not giving the bill. During the workshop they are taking money from us. But GST bill they ask to fill form and need to wait for 15 days to get the GST invoice bill.
If we not fill the form they will won't give that too.
Is this possible to raise complaint against them or request them for refund before complaint
As the institute offers online services, issuing a robust legal notice to the company is essential. This aligns with the provisions outlined in the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules and Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021. Utilizing this online platform may expedite the resolution process. If a satisfactory resolution is not achieved, you have the option to file an offline complaint against the online service provider before the District Consumer Court. This should be done within two years from the date of the cause of action, seeking a refund of the entire course fees along with compensation for any harassment experienced.
If that YouTube channel is run and managed by a company and firm then get their details and address and send them a letter seeking the refund. If not then you can lodge a cyber crime complaint to www.cybercrime.gov.in. Simultaneously you can lodge a complaint with google stating that wrong and unethical business practice is being done through a YouTube channel. The team at google shall look into this.
In the given situation, since the institute is providing online service, serving a strong legal notice to the company, a complaint needs to be filed online mode through e-daakhil portal ( https://edaakhil.nic.in/edaakhil/ ) introduced by the Consumer Affairs Deptt of Govt. of India as well as State Govt. following the provision of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules and Consumer Protection(Direct Selling) Rules, 2021. It may work fast to redress the grievance, failing which you may file an offline Complaint against the online service provider Before the Dist. Consumer Court under whose jurisdiction a branch of the said Institute is in operation claiming a refund of the entire course fees you remitted to them along with compensation for harassment. The complaint should be filed within two years from the date of the cause of action.
You may lodge a complaint with local police and see that your amount is recovered. If you joined other students is similar situation then you will get strength.
