Service overlapping issue

Hi, my issue is with service overlapping. case is with my first company that started to deduct pf. when i joined the next company gave me joining date of 23 but my previous company dint allow and extend it to 7 of next month. i informed the same to next company and they said that they will issue another joining letter with revised date. same issue happened with my collegue as well. they issued revised offer letter to him but i was not given also that time i got busy in some project work. now staff is changed and they are denying to change. please help me how can i make it rectify.
there should be some sort of solution, i accept my mistake. how can i make it corrected it is hampering my application to new companies.
