I was appointed in kannur university as assistant professor and due to technical reason approval was denied. I approached the Hon. High court of Kerala and the court adjudged and ordered the university to approve my appointment and disburse salary from the date of appointment. I have been receiving salary. However when I again approached the university for my promotion /career advancement university said that the court only ordered to approve the appointment and disburse salary from the date of appointment but not for giving service benefits .
In this situation I just wanted to know that whether I am eligible for promotion as per the hon court order.

In case of confusion and clarity one should approach the HC again to get the broader perspective of the same.
However, appointment should also mean elevation and promotion in the normal course of service to the best of my knowledge.

They are at issue with you. Better approach the HC again.
