Sir,
My father paid an amount of 7.5L to a realtor to buy a land for me at Achirupakkam in 2013. But on the day of registration the realtor had some problem with the land seller and stopped the registration. Till now we have not been handed over the land or money. We have contacted him so many times and now he's not even picking up call and also vacated his office. We don't know what to do further. Please help us

A.Your is very complicated & sensitive matter.The practice before registration is both buyer & seller meet on prearrange day and money is passed before or after as the case may be and the registering authority address both the parties that money is paid & received then he will register. This practice & procedure has been followed. Better to consult a property professional Lawyer to guide & help you quickly.

You have to first file a complaint of cheating with local police against him.

A.You might be having a sale agreement. Whether it is registered one or if not what is teh stamp duty on agreement paper ? Dpending upon the same, You may file a consumer complaint or even a suit for specific performance .

No agreement was signed, only receipt for the Cheque given by us.
