Not allowed to report after long leave Not allowed to report after long leave

6 years ago

I work in a PSB. Due to sickness, I took almost 6 months of leave. I have a health history so i have been on leave earlier as well. Now almost 6 months back, my HR manager asked me to submit via registered post my health certificate and wait for their instructions. It has been 6 months and they didn't send any communication, not allowing me to report and simply delaying the process. No one is taking any heed. What are my options. I am thinking of sending a legal notice.

A.dear client in your matter i agreed on advice given that Sending a Legal Notice will certainly be of Help but it will be of less weight age if you send it now. A Legal Notice is that document which you can submit in Court of Law to prove your case. In all respects first you should exhaust all your options available and then the last option should be Legal Notice as it will carry more weight age. There are many other options available. Please consult for a further advice in this regard.

A.There is no question of not allowing for reporting for duty, take all your certificates including fitness certificate of designated surgeon and submit along with you joining report immediately, further request for written order do not delay your reporting if need take guidance & help of fellow employees & union or association as the case may be. This is the first step & and legal notice is second.

A.Look PSBs have atypical ways of handling the service matters and sometimes they are prompt to respond and sometimes they are not because of there own reasons. Ideally once you have sent the certificate then they should have told you what to do.
If they are not doing anything then you can do either of the one;
1. report to your branch where you were posted earlier then it will be your BM's duty to act on it.
2. Report directly to LHO/Circle head office/Zonal Office then they will have to act on it.
Don't just keep waiting for them.
Or else if you want to send them a legal notice then let me know.

Thanks for the response sir. I have tried reporting myself at branch and LHO/AO but was humiliated and turned away. I have complained to head office but they are just delaying the process.
