Extortion and Harrasment by Money Lender Extortion and Harrasment by Money Lender

My father-in-law has a shop and took a loan of about 3 lakhs from a money lender at a higher interest rate of more than 10%/month and already paid more than 15 lakhs as repayment but the lender didn't give any receipt of the payments made. Also, the lender is asking for more money and threatening to close the shop. He is claiming to have a stamp paper duly signed by my father-in-law regarding the loan. What is the remedy to settle the matter since he doesn't have any payment receipts? Does he need to go to the police and file a case of extortion? Please advise.

Thanks.
