Mistake in last name for the Husband
Hello,
My wife and I had registered our marriage in Madurai in the week following our wedding. Unfortunately, my full name in the certificate has an extra space included (Actual - Firstname Lastname; Printed - Firstname Last {space} Name). I would like to rectify this error/typo. We had processed it first time via an agent. And when we contacted him again, he told it’s not possible to rectify it and we would need to apply for a new certificate.
Can someone let me know if it’s possible to rectify this? If so, could you please point me towards the procedure/next steps needed?
