My Friend is asking for 4 Lakhs amount for his family urgencies. He is ready to sign a Promissory note of this amount and the return timeline will be of 1 year. Will the Promissory note valid for this much amount. What other securities/guaranty do I have to take.

A.Dear Sir,
It is better to get post dated cheques which is economical to recover the amount.
