The interim maintenance is payable from the date the petition for divorce is filed, till the time the final order is passed. The Hindu community is governed by The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, and the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act, 1956, which grant the right to women to claim maintenance. Under Hindu laws, the quantum of maintenance am ...ReadMore

A. Hello,
Live-in relationships are relationships where two adults above the age of 18, cohabit together without marrying each other. Unlike a marriage, a live-in relationship has no legal implications. For example, live-in relationships do not have to be registered and to end the live-in relationship, a divorce is not required.

Husband cannot get any divorce because he himself not fertile to give a birth to a child. Simply because wife rejects IVF option then it is not a ground to get divorce by the husband.

A. Dear Client,

In the given situation, you may file a case for divorce before the Court, but it may be difficult for you to prove your wife is mentally challenged and unable to discharge the basic duties and obligations involved in matrimonial as well as conjugal relationships especially when she does not agree for divorce and also in absence of any medical report declaring her a mentally challenged patient.

Reach out to an Advocate for first-hand information and steps

A. Dear Sir,
There is no shortcut method to get divorce by husband. You may file contested divorce and see that it is referred to mediation and then settle the matter if possible otherwise go for regular and contested divorce.
