A.Dear Sir,
You need not bother. Just continue your stay without paying any rent until proper receipts are given. Abnormal enhancement of rent cannot be approved by the Court. Let him to police station or Court you will win. You can put up new contention that you have paid advance amount of few lakhs to the deceased and before he issues receipt and execute sale agreement he died. Further out of faith you say you have paid the amount in installments. You have to claim ownership on the property in which you are residing. Hire an intelligent advocate and get issue a legal notice to the legal heirs of deceased and this new so called purchaser. Please give me Rank 5 if you feel my answers also helped you

A.Do you have any proof of your being a tenant? like any written document or for that matter any receipt of payment of rent or any other tenants who can testify in Court that you and them were the tenants of the previous owner? if yes, then move an application for deposit of Rent before the Court of Rent Controller/Controlling Authority. You must have correct identity and address of the new owner. If possible get some old receipts of rent paid by you from the previous owner if he is willing to so give, in case you do not have them now or any letter informing you that he has sold the hut to the current/present new owner. You can deposit rent through Court.
