I m pregnant my age is 17 on 19 may I will be 18 nd I was not aware about my pregnancy there was a pain in my stomach and came to doctor so doctors called cops nd fill a case against my partner so plz help me how may i help him to come out from this situation

A.1. since you are going to attain majority on 19 may, therefore, if your partner is also above 21, then you can opt for quashing of the FIR on the basis of the proposed marriage between you two,
2. if your partner is ready to marry you, the FIR can be quashed by approaching the concerned High Court

A.As of now if the FIR is registered and your partner is arrested or not,tell him to move a bail application as the case may be i.e. regular bail if he is arrested and anticipatory if he is not arrested and tell him/his lawyer to keep you informed about the date of hearing so that you can appear on the date of hearing before the Court and state the factum and circumstances of consensual relations between you and him. However, that may (not certain) result in the Court granting bail to him and the investigation by police and subsequently trial by court will continue. A strategy in that case would have to be charted out for getting him out of this as your statement only that it was consensual may help him in getting bail but not acquittal/exoneration from the crime of statutory rape as the consent of minor is irrelevant.
