Electric name of tenant

Is there any disadvantage for the landlord if the tenant apply for a new electric meter in the name of tenant?
A.Some times the landlord will be afraid that the tenant may claim ownership.

A.Tenant cannot apply electricity connection.

A.If the tenant has purchased the the property or the flat from you then it is ok.... give the tenant the new electric metre connection in his own name... As automatically whatever the electricity uses he will be liable to pay... that is better.
