I resigned from a PSU company without serving notice period due to medical reasons. But my resignation has still not been accepted after an year. What are my options? I have all documents and email correspondences.

A.If you have resigned from the service without serving the notice period then they may only ask you to pay the salary amount for the notice period. But they should have accepted your resignation. You can move to Labour Court if you come under the definition of "workman" according to the Industrial Disputes Act. If you are not a "workman" then you can move to Civil Court. Whether your matter is amenable to the writ jurisdiction of the High Court can be said only after persuing the matter in detail and knowing the name/nature of PSU.

A.You have to draft a letter to the highest authority asking for reliving letter for purpose of further examination, new prospects in life etc. Thereafter, since it is a PSU they can be directed by the HC, although for this issue there is no need to take further action.
