Late shift for women
I'm working in travel company based in UK and a call centre here in Gujarat. Our timings are decided according to UK shifts only.. my timing from monday to friday is 10 am to 7 pm IST. But on Saturday the employee forces us to work between 7 pm to 11 pm IST. Is it legal to force a women employee to stay late in office?
If not then what steps can be taken?
I was told in my joining letter only that I will have to stay 8 pm latest in office. Our office is 24/7 open and we face issues for festival holidays too.
Please help me out here.

A.Dear Client
in private sector companies normally these issues happen as immediate boss /reporting manager continue such unethical practices to impress higher authorities and employees hardly object it apprehending action against them.
However in your case you can try below steps
1. consult with your HR / super boss and intimate him your problem they will find out a solution.
2. you can meet your local women commission and discuss with them to take proper step basing on your situation.
3. you can approach local labour commission office under whose jurisdiction office functions and they can have a inspection visit to office to check proper timings maintained or not.
4. you can approach mahila PS to interfere for illegally compelling to come office .
