Hello sir my father died without nomination in bank but we are a 5l egal heir alive and want reaming about to be given to our mother we all have no objection but one of my sister died after marriage with in one month in 1994 because of dowary and it was in the news paper do my brother in law can claim as a legal heir after my fathers death

A.No your brother in law is not even remotely near the line of succession. If your father has not made any WILL then entire property will dissolve upon your mother naturally as per section 8 of Hindu succession act.

A.if he is held guilty by the Court regarding death of your sister, then he cannot claim the amount, else he is a legal heir also
