I have booked a vibrator from Amazon. I didn't know about law but when i m searching for custom charges then i got knowledge about law. I have raised cancellation request for same, but sender didn't respond. What should do now? Please guide.

A.Since the import/sale of sex toys is banned in India as per IPC section 292 and is a prohibited item, the import of the same by you is in contravention of the law and hence it will be liable for absolute confiscation along with penalty.
You will get Personal Hearing Letter from Customs PAD department.

A.You may receive a show cause notice from the Postal appraising department, Customs office. You may have to pay a fine, and attend a personal hearing.

A.Since the item is a restricted item, you may receive a show cause notice from the Postal Appraising Department, Customs. You may have to attend an enquiry and pay a fine. If you wish to see that an enquiry is dispensed with, you may have to send a communication to them.

A.File a consumer case against them. You have to send them a legal notice first . They are only taking benefit that you have purchased a product which you cannot disclose to anyonr

A.As for as your statement concern you have already told that you have raised the cancellation request as per their terms and norms and if they have not accepted ur cancellation it means that's not a problem, which will not bind u for their mistake so u no need to worry about the issue and u can get remedy from the legal issue under the customs act, even if the custom lodge any legal process against u
