Hi, I am selling a property this week and have got 2 partial payments till now via cheque. The buyer says he'll be providing the remaining amount of 13.5 lakhs via cheque from his personal account during the registration. Can i accept this without any risk ?

A.You can execute "Agreement for Sale" in which you have to mention that amount of 13.5 is balance. Do not give possession till cheque of final payment gets cleared in your account. Another option is to tell the purchaser to make balance payment by D.D.
