I used to live in Gurgaon in a 4 bhk flat with other 3 tenants. Since March'2020, only 3 tenants were living and we were not able to find 4th one mainly because of Covid Issues (Pandemic). Now we have left the flat in August'2020 because of Covid issues and everyone is living at their home with their parents. Issues we are facing are :
1. landlord is not willing to give security money back (of amount ~INR 90k) (agreement was signed in 2014 between tenants and landlord, and security is mentioned in that agreement)
2. other 2 tenants are not willing to pay dues until unless they get their security money back
3. landlord has sent me a notice to pay all dues (how can I pay other people dues)
4. we have been paying rent online via our individual bank account to landlord, now why is he asking me to pay all the money (which is due by other tenants)
5. there is no agreement between landlord and tenants
I am a working professional. I have paid my dues, and now I cannot pay other people dues. And, I cannot afford to go to advocate and send legal notice to owner.
