Payment of lower interest for FD as against rate mentioned in FDR Payment of lower interest for FD as against rate mentioned in FDR

I am being paid lower interest on my FD as against the one mentioned in the FDR. What should I do? Can the bank say you are paid at discounted rate as you are taking monthly interest and this is only oral and no need to mention in FDR. Are there any RBI guidelines allowing banks to fix discounted rate and say it is oral and will not be mentioned in FDR. Please advise for further steps I need to take.
