Is it legal for the bank to call my contacts without my consent.

Today a bank employee call my relative to ask for my part of loan EMI(7056) as I am avoiding them for 1-2 months because my business is not good due to covid situation. I know I have to pay and I will pay but is it legal and ethical to call my contact list and how they get it for the service provider and is it legal for service provider to do so , isn't it loss of the privacy of the customer of the mobile service provider.

A.No, it is not proper on bank's part to call your relatives but this happened due to the fact that you were ignoring them. How does bank have their number? You must have filled out some form wrt same. Did you mention them surety?

Yes indeed this is the infringement of the privacy, but at the same time it becomes your fault also as you are ignoring them, if you know your duties you must convey it to the bank. Also, have you provided names of surety?

Firstly, you should not ignore bank and communicate your inability to pay in recent time, however it is unethical to connect to your contacts. Have you mentioned anyone's name as surety in the loan papers?
