Property loan with ancestors property
Dear Sir/Madam,
Due to some financial situation, we decided to try for a property loan with the documents of the house we are living now. But this house is given to my grandfather by his maternal aunty whom had no children. We are living in this house for more than 50 years. And we are a joint family with 3 brothers including my father. And my grandfather is living with us. So kindly clarify me if can we get property loan with this house? I am not seeing the property documents yet, so kindly tell me the possibility in both ways if the documents (property) is in my grandfather name or still it is in his maternal aunty name (she is no more and she was given the house to my grandfather). Hope I asked my question clearly. The answers would be really helpful for me. So thank you in advance.

You should first take a look at the property documents and determine who is the owner of the house. If it is in your grandfather's name then you can get a property loan. If it is in the aunt's name, you will have to talk to a lawyer and see whom the property was supposed to go to after her death.
Determining the owner of the house is very necessary. You can get property loan if your grandfather is the owner. If not, please talk to a lawyer and read the documents to determine who is supposed to be the owner after your aunt's death.

the amount depends on the person applying and their share in property and as per bank documentation.
Hope this clarifies,
