Procedure police follows after FIR
If I register a FIR against somebody who has taken money from me (through bank transactions) for something. But has not gave it back nor the purpose for which money was taken is fulfilled.
This is cheating. Under what sections I should register the FIR? How the police will proceed in this case? How should I take the follow up?
If police is not taking satisfactory steps or investigation is not satisfactory, what should I do?
Kindly guide me.

A.Hi,
an FIR under section -405, 406, 415, 420, etc. can be filed by you. incase the police does not work satisfactorily, a Writ Petition may be filed in respective High Court for seeking damages/compensation, if the inaction of the Police on the complaint/non-registration of FIR, has resulted in frustration/deprivation of ―life and liberty of any person, guaranteed under Article 21 of Constitution of India.

A.Hi,
you can file an FIR under section -405, 406, 415, 420, etc.
once you file an FIR, the police will itself start the investigation procedure and will intimate you regarding the procedure. you will be given an FIR number and a copy of it so that you can keep a record of it and use when needed.
