In Aug 2020, UGC has issued a notice that no employing Higher Educational Institutions shall keep in their possession any teacher’s original academic certificates/documents. It is to be treated as a violation of the teacher's right.

A.Hi,
On 11 August 2020, UGC issued a notice stating that no employing Higher Educational Institutions shall keep in their possession any teacher’s original academic certificates/documents which is akin to depriving them of their rights.
