Need to refund my salary Need to refund my salary

Hi Sir.

As I am working as a Sales executive in a company, they paid me the salary of 80% only every month after Corona pandemic.

So as I can't able to fulfill my basic needs with my salary, I am looking for new opportunities.

Last week one mail came from my management and it says that due to non achievement of Target I need to repay the 40% of my salary back to them.

If I want to leave the company they are asking me to pay around 1.8 Lakhs, whether it is legal?

Note: I haven't received any extra pay or advance apart from my salary.

If I leave the organisation without paying the above said amount they are telling that they will take legal action against me and they will not provide the receiving documents.

Please suggest whether it is possible?

Anik

A.generally it is not possible until there are ridiculous terms and conditions in your offer letter.
they can not take back salary but they will not give employment proof for sure.
you can send legal notice.

but for new job and career, you will pay them like it always happen with employees.

Hope this clarifies,
