My uncle had worked central government employee, he died within service, he married 2 wives without divorce, both are alive, and death certificate mentioned first wife name, 2nd wife (my sister) name not mentioned, but my sister need the widow certificate, Religious : Hindu, 2nd wife (My Sister) have aadhar, ration card, voter ID, kindly reply me sir, Thank you...

Widow certificate can only be claimed by widow of a person, widow will always be the first wife, as there cannot be two widows for a person as law do not recognize two wives after coming into force of the Hindu Marriage Act. Because, The second wife has no legal status. According to the Hindu Law, the marriage during living spouse is void and gives no status to the second wife,

The second wife has no legal status. According to the Hindu Law, the marriage during living spouse is void and gives no status to the second wife. Widow certificate is available to the widow of a person during her lifetime, therefore widow will always be the first wife, as there cannot be two widows for a person as law do not recognize two wives after coming into force of the Hindu Marriage Act.
