Deductions of wages

Employer deducting employees wages without their consent to teach them a lesson. This clause was not mentioned at the time of employment contract.

A.Hi,
The employer cannot deduct wages unless there is an statutory requirement, or when the same is mentioned in the agreement, however, you can approach the labour commission in such cases.

A.Hi,
An employer can only deduct money if: the employee agrees in writing and it’s principally for their benefit, or, it’s allowed under the employee’s registered agreement and the employee agrees to it. If this is not the case then you can file an application in labour commission.
