My tenant has not paid rent for last six months. He went to his native in November and I have been unable to contact him since then. He is not responding to my calls. His belongings are still inside the house. Please advice how to handle this situation legally.

A.Dear Sir,
You may approach nearest police station and under their guidance you may vacate such premises and dump all such belongings in a room or get auctioned and recover your arrears of rent.

A.You can send a legal notice asking him for vacating the premises and for the payment of the due amount. Then can go to civil court file an eviction suit get a decree and then execute the said decree in which you can legally keep his stuff outside the premises.

A.Serve him with the legal notice to terminate the tenancy on the grounds of non payment of rent and for abandoning demised premises. Then file civil suit for eviction. Take decree and throw his articles in execution of said decree. All the best.
