A cancellation deed was signed with an construction company for the refund of my money as they were not able to complete the construction due to their internal issues. They provided us post dated cheques and then two days prior to the withdrawal date mailed us stating not to deposit cheque as they are low on balance. And now all the cheques seems to invalid as they have crossed all the dates as per bank law. And still not re payed single penny. Please advice what should be done in this case to get my money back along with interest?

A.Hi,
Serve the company with legal notice to repay the entire amount with interest, and if they do not comply, file a civil suit for money recovery against them.

As per your inputs your agreement has been cancelled now, further the cheques they issues not time barred, so issue legal notice to them claiming all your money, later file both civil and criminal cases against them
