I have a flat in Vadodara, which is on both my name and my daughter's. My daughter residing in Visakhapatnam will not be able to visit Vadodara in the event of any sale of the flat. As such she wishes to give Power of Attorney to her father. Will it be possible to have the power of Attorney registered at Visakhapatnam and does it attract any stamp duty on the value of property for registration.

A.Hi,
Yes, she can execute a Power of Attorney in favour of her father from Viskhapatnam. The stamp duty will depend on the local laws of the area.

A.Hi,
Yes, she can execute a Power of Attorney in Visakhapatnam, it will have to be done in the presence of a notary public to be valid.
You will have to refer to local laws to determine the amount of stamp duty, this will be a nominal amount.
