I have purchased a flat in 2018 and possession as per agreement is 2021 Dec. There is no construction work going on in the project from Mar 2020. Work has not started even after lockdown lifted. Everytime we confront him, builder comes up with excuse that project will complete in time. However I am concerned about delivery. What action can I take on the builder for not starting the construction work after unlock.

A.Hi,
You can sue them for breach of contract and claim substantial damages if the building is not delivered to you in time.

A.Hi,
You will be able to claim heavy penalties if the builder does not grant you possession within the timelines mentioned in your contract. You might also be entitled to a full refund in case of inordinate delays.
