Property issue

Hi, I am selling a house to a buyer and made an agreement with him and taken advance. The agreement stated that the house registration will be done by 8th October 2020. But the registration process in Telangana was halted and we couldnt proceed with the registration. I was not willing to sell my property after registration s resumed on Nov 10th as agreement time has already passed.Now buyer is threatening me to file a case and is forcing me to sell the land. Who would get benifitted if we proceed legally
A.Hi,
You had a right to cancel the agreement as its terms were not complied with.
Once you return the amount he paid as advance, he will have no further legal recourse against you.

A.Hi,
You have protection under law, you do not need to sell the property now as the terms of the sale were not met with. You will however, have to refund him any part of the amount he has paid.

A.Depending upon the terms of agreement, you can issue notice terminating the agreement. Agreement has already expired by efflux of time and has no force.

A.In the situation of yours you can return him the advance amount along with the bank interest rate and cancel the agreement.
