I took consumer durable loan through HDFC Debit card EMI, I have paid all the EMIs and now bank has sent a legal notice through some Mayank Khera and Associates stated that " Rs 3938/ + Rs 518/- has to be paid because your auto debit facility has dishonored due to insufficient funds.

I paid all the due amounts .I am not ready to pay the dishonored charges, Now I received a legal notice to respond in 15 days. What should I do?

Pls help me to solve, am not in a situation to pay the amount right now i am jobless due to covid

A.Hi,
You can object to paying the extra amount in your legal notice, as you have paid the dues on time. However, there might be some policies of the bank which you have consented to while creating an account, we will have to look into these to see if you have other recourse.

A.Hi,
If you paid the dues on time, you do not need to pay any dishonor charges. You can object on these grounds to the bank management.
In your reply, you must mention that you have no committed any default and as such, are not liable to pay.
