Is roasting or trolling about people legal or illegal as I heard many people complaining about it and many people agree with it so I thought of writing an article about it.

A.Trolling is protected under an individual's right to freedom of expression. However, if this trolling is injurious to the person's public reputation, then the author maybe punished for defamation under Sections 499 and 500 IPC.

A.Hi,
Trolling online is not punishable as it is protected under an individual's right to free speech. If it extends to damaging the target's reputation in public, then the author maybe punished for defamation under Section 499 nd 500 IPC.
