I was in live in relationship for more than 1 n 1/2 year in the month of March I came to that im 3months pregnant but due to some medical condition I couldn't abort the baby so I had to continue with this pregnancy..
Now the guy is not ready to take any responsibility so that's the reason I took him to police station twice however he gave in written that he will marry by june end but when ever i ask him about marriage he keep on giving excuses I spoke to his mom about this she told not to call or else I will give police complaint....And to be frank I work I BPO and my earning is not that good and I don't want to be dependent on my parents so what can be done in this case so that he marry and take all the responsibility what a father has to so plz need some advice thanks in advance....

A.It appears that police have not registered any complaint of serious nature against him. And whether he is working with you or is he likely to escape from you ? of course he has to take responsibilities of a father.

A.U cannot force the man to marry you.However if u lodge a complaint of rape on the false promise of marriage, he may come pressure to marry you. So far as your child in ur womb is concerned, law is very clear.The child can get maintainence, right over father's property etc.

Hello mam,
Your issue involves a seriis question of law.
1. First of all you must have to clear that whether the fact that you were living with that guy in live in relationship was known to somebody else in society or not. Further whether it was persumed by other people that you were living as husband and wife. If yes than you have every right against him as a legally wedded wife as per Honble Supreme Court Judgments.
Secondly, if you were living with him secretly than you must move a complaint against him before the concerned police for committing sexual assault over you on promise to marry. And be careful regarding the contents of that application. It must have to be carefully drafted.

Thirdly if you proves that you were living with him as his wife than this judgment would surely help you Vijaya Renganathan & Ors[4]. In this case, the Supreme Court had held that a child born out of a live-in relationship may be allowed to succeed in the inheritance of the property of the parents (if any) and subsequently be given legitimacy in the eyes of the law.

A.You can file maintenance claim as well as other criminal cases against the person for that you can approach the police as well as the court

Thanks for the reply so exactly what can be done in this case and what charges b'coz whenever I go to police station he agrees to get married but once he is put of police station he don't even call nor msg it's me who always who has to keep follow up on this case....

First of all you can claim maintenance for yourself as well as your child to pressurise your partner secondly you can initiate criminal proceedings against him under dv act and IPC thus under pressure your partner will accept you and your child charges depend on the case however we can negotiate on it for that you can book an appointment where we can talk further take care
