Caste validity and cretificate Caste validity and cretificate

I am from maharashtra. And i want to know whether one can apply for caste validity certificate on mothers name as no father and grand father related documents are there. could you please suggest mother has the caste validity with all the doc that too in same obc category. Nothing is there related to father and grands. mother docs are on old surname. but child surname is his fathers surname.

A.Hi,
Yes, you can do this. Approach the Tahsildar's office with a declaration of the same and provide the necessary documents.

A.Hi,
Yes, you can apply to be granted your mother's caste certificate. You will have to present the relevant documents before the Tahsildar's office and make a declaration of your intention. They will then guide you through the process.
