Why has State Bank of India withheld transfer on the pretext that one TDR ( that is linked yo the account of the deceased of which I am the nominee ) cannot be closed as it does not have any nomination

A.Incase of absence of any nomination in SBI or say other bank they will require succession certificate from court.

A.if your not the nominee to that bank AC, you have to get a succession certificate with family tree

A.Hi,
You are requested to verify the documents of the specific bank account and whether that you are the nominee to it.
The bank is obligated to only transfer the amount to the nominee.
If you're not a nominee to that account, the bank shall determine the rightful owner of that amount after the deceased. If you are and the bank is still not giving you the amount, you can approach the ombudsman or file a civil suit.

A.Hi,
It is advisable for you to check the documents of the specific bank account and whether that you are the nominee to it. The bank only transfers the amount to the nominee. In case you're not a nominee to that account, the bank shall determine the rightful owner of that amount after the deceased.
