A case in both Consumer forum & RERA A case in both Consumer forum & RERA

Can I approach RERA simultaneously when my case exists in District consumer forum since Nov 2019.

If Yes, Please help me with the any proof number by Supreme court.

Case Hearings are continously being postponed in court due to covid since Nov 2019 and now I want to approach RERA without withdrawing case in Consumer Forum.
Please guide me.

A.Hi
You can approach RERA, Consumer Forum and Adjudicating Authority (NCLT) at the same time.
But, it is important to know, that at RERA and Consumer Forum you can approach as an Individual Home Buyer, but in IBC you will have to be atleast 100 such home buyers together to approach.

A.Hi,
Yes you can approach RERA simultaneously without withdrawal from the Consumer Forum. The Consumer Protection Act 2019 gives you the authority to approach- three possible forums under three different Acts: The Consumer Protection Act, 2019, Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA Act)
and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2017.
