A.there is limit of everything else smugglers will start using everybody grandparents to smuggle gold .
keep artificial jewelry and gold separately.
better to wear gold jewelry while coming.

A.Hi,
The Indian Law mandates an statutory limit of carrying gold ornaments beyond which custom duty is required to be paid. For male, it is up to Rs. 50,000 and for females, the limit is Rs. 1 Lakh. The Gold will be valued at by the custom officials, and if the valuation exceeds the threshold requirement, it would attract customs duty. Further, the law mandates that the gold valuables to be declared by the traveler. Similarly, there is statutory limit to the valuables brought in the country by the traveler, and beyond which one has to pay custom duty. Therefore, the custom officials may ask routine question about the valuables being carried by the traveler.

The Gold will be valued at by the custom officials, and if the valuation exceeds the threshold requirement, it would attract customs duty. The law mandates that the gold valuables to be declared by the traveler.
