My grandfather passed away in 1979 and the ancestoral property was passed on to my grand mother.

My grandfather had a elder sister who passed away before 1979 before my grandfather death. However now my grandfathers elder sisters sons are asking for claim on the property. Do they have legal rights on the property which is currently in my grandmothers name

A.Hi,
Your grandfather's sister has a claim in the ancestral property as she is a class 1 heir. Her claim is survived by her legal heirs. So, the sister's do have legal right on the ancestral property held in your grandmother's name.
