Salary issues Salary issues

It is clearly written in our appointment letter that once we get confirmed, we will be paid UGC pay but the institution we are working is not paying us the promised salary even after three years of confirmation. Is there any legal means to sue the institution that we are working?

A.If its a government institution then file a writ petition in the High Court and do not wait for anything. If it is a private institution then send a letter to the education department of the state and UGC and wait for the reply once the reply comes then accordingly move the High Court if not satisfied making the UGC/department and the institution as parties.

A.Hi,
As you mentioned that payment of salary was clearly mentioned in your agreement and your institute has not paid the salary for that term then it is breach of contract and you claim salary as damages by filing civil suit in the court. But i would recommend to consult a lawyer and draft a legal notice mentioning about non- payment of salary against your institute and try to solve it amicably.

A.You can definitely sue them by doing as follows:
1. Legal Notice to the College and Copy to UGC.
2. File recovery suit & FIR simultaneously against the Principal and Managing Committee.

A.Hey,
If date of your appointment is mentioned clearly in your agreement and this clause of payment of salary is there then it is breach of contract from the side of employer. You can send legal notice to the institution for payment of salary but if they don't reply then you can file civil suit.
