Regularizing Internal changes in a flat in Bangalore Regularizing Internal changes in a flat in Bangalore

I recently bought a flat in Bangalore and made some internal alterations. The alterations include removing a partition wall that was approx 4ft length. One of the resident has raised concerns that it is illegal and has made a complaint in local BBMP office and also mentions about filing a case in court. Is there a process to get the alterations approved? what will be the consequences if a case is filed in court. Kindly suggest on the next steps to bring this to a closure.

A.Aap ke dawra jo property kharidi gai hai usme aap kuch bhi karne ke liye savtantra hai. Aap ko aisa koi permission karne ki permission nhi di jaa sakti hai jis se kisi or ko nukshan ho. Aap ke dawra liye gae sale deed me Malik mana gya hoga or usme likha gya hoga ki aap jo chahe jo kare. Agar padi aisa karta hai tab vaha glat karta hai. Agar uske dawara bbmp me koi complaint ki thi uska uttar de. Agar bbmc dawra koi rules banaya gya hai ki uski permission ke bina aap koi parivatan nhi karenge. Kya aap ke dawara koi permission li gai hai. Agar li gai hai tab aap unko jabab de.

A.Hi
It is not illegal to have alternations in your apartment, your neighbour's claims are baseless. You could have modifications as you feel like. You have complete right over your appartment and you could change the configuration according yo your needs unless if there has been a clause in sale deed which doesnt allow you to do the same. Also if the case is filed, it would be a very week case from your neighbours side .
Thanks

A.Hello
If it has mentioned in the salw deed that you cannot do any changes in the appartment only then yoy are nor allowed otherwise it's your property and you could make changes as you feel like. So first check the sale deed. Also you have complete right over your house to make changes as you feel like no one can intefere in that.
Thanks.

A.Dear Sir,
Such internal changes can be made if there is no restrictions in the original sale deed. Moreover, the neighbor or one of the resident cannot file a suit or lodge a representation before the BBMP. You can protest such suit if filed.

A.To give opinion,it is necessary to scrutinize the registered Purchase Deed of yours as well as the complaint filed by that person before the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike. Because until and unless the matter of fact be known properly, legal guideline considering BBMP Bye-laws cannot be given in proper manner.
