She was suffering from mental illness where she used to hear people talk about her and family, which led to her suicide commit, she was under medication and getting treatment at home. She went there for vacation purpose and did suicide when no one was at home with her, my father and her brother went to bring a doctor for checkup to near by hospital while she was with her old mother, her old mother went behind the house where the kitchen was and my mother used that time to commit suicide. Now my question is that My Mother had 4 LIC policy which were running (Sum Assured 220k/100k/50k/200k) Also Post office account of 500 monthly police (Sum Assured 30k) As per policy bond: Insured person cant commit suicide with in 1 year of police commencement. but all policy's of my mother are older than 2-3 years. You should be contact to the office. And after takes staps.
Accident death naturally death. Any suddenly ill.
Some death are decried in the policy. Then the policy holder heirs takes benefit.
If any help my answer you. You thik that give rate by yourwiss.
You may try for compensation but the rules says that such amount cannot be given in case of suicide of a policy holder. Take a defence that she was forced to commit suicide due to mental illness or on the force committed by somebody else.

So you first check if this policy covers suicide.
Within 1 year, its impossible to get it and LIC will ask police to investigate murder for policy amount.

During the policy term (post 12 months of issuance), the policy will pay the family (whosoever is the nominee) the death benefit in case the policyholder commits suicide. Consult a legal representative for further procedure.

Since the documents are of great importance you should consult a legal representative for an effective course of action. However, during the policy term (post 12 months of issuance), the policy will pay the family (whosoever is the nominee) the death benefit (the sum assured) in case the policyholder commits suicide. However, you must check the policy terms and conditions carefully to see if there is any provision excluding suicide coverage in the policy. In this case, the nominee will not receive the sum assured.
