My parents did file maitanance case only on me, in RDO(Revenue Divisional Officer) office .
But my parents have 2 children's, me and my sister(both are married).

Parents maintaince is applicable only for sons, or it is applicable for daughter as well.
What is the max maintenance amount, they can demand, is it based on salary?
Max how much time they can give for paying maintenance?
My parents already earnings with 1 acres agriculture land and 15k from rents, still I need to pay maintenance?

A.Hi,
Both the son and the daughter are allowed to pay maintenance under the new law. It is up to the parents to determine whether or not they are prepared to accept the daughter's upkeep. The amount of maintenance will be determined by a mutually agreed upon rate between the two parties, as well as the family members' needs.
Thank you very much. Please give your opinion on the response.

A.Hi,
According to the recent law, maintenance is allowed from both the son and the daughter. However, it is up to the parents to decide whether they are willing to take the maintenance from the daughter or not. The maintenance amount will depend upon the mutually agreed rate between both the parties while will depend upon the necessities portrayed by the family members.
Thank you. Rate the answer.

A.Dear Sir,
Maximum is Rs. 10,000/- and it has to be shared between sons and daughters. You may file objections and show all your expenditures and produce family genealogy saying that you have wife and children and your parents getting Rs. 15,000/- as rent which is sufficient.

A.Parents maintenance is applicable to both sons and daughters.
The maximum amount is dependable on how much they earn, how much they need and how much you can afford to give.
The time depends on the court order and once the order is passed you will have to pay monthly.
Yes, as it depends on what they earn and what they expend.
