does family of a person get pension after his suicide?

A.Dear Client,
it is possible for the dependants to get a pension of a person after the suicide is been committed as the labour code used the word "death of the person" and does not distinguish them on the basis of an accident or suicide.

A.Yes ,the deceased person's dependent family member/s is/ are entitled to get family pension. During the lifetime of that employee nomination in this regard required to be made otherwise the family members have to apply before the Central/concerned State Government following the procedural steps.

In case of Central Government Family Pension following persons are eligible:-
Spouse of the deceased government servant or,
Unmarried sons below the age of 25 years and unmarried or widow or divorced daughters (without any age limit), who are not earning their livelihood [ A children suffering from a mental or physical disability and not earning his nor her livelihood (without any age limit), who are not earning their livelihood ],
Dependent parents,
Dependent siblings.
