Nominee of bank fd
My grandmother passed away 2 weeks back who had put me as nominee on some of her fds. Now her daughter who is my maternal aunt is refusing to provide me the relevant fd certificates. Without the certificates i am not able to claim the fds in the bank nor am fully clear which all banks to approach for those multiple fds.
A.Dear Sir,
You may approach the Bank and execute indemnity bond and immediately get the amount into your account.
I could have explained more if background is known to me. If background is made known in full then legal experts will be in position to understand correctly. Moreso, the background must be in brief.
Please give me FIVE STAR if satisfied by my answers.

A.Dear Client,
It's important to know whether your grandmother utilised a tax expert to file her income tax returns or not. That Tax Consultant can assist you in obtaining such information about Fixed Deposits from the Tax File maintained prior to that Tax Consultant filing your grandmother's yearly IT return. Although, as Nominee, you are only the custodian of those fixed deposits until the legal heirs of your deceased grandmother submit the Succession Certificate issued by a competent Court of Law, it is necessary for you to give immediate notice to the bank as Nominee of those Fixed Deposits, along with the death certificate of your deceased grandmother, to stop the disbursement of the sum of those Fixed Deposits.
Thank you!

Although as Nominee you are mere custodian of those fixed deposits till the legal heirs of your deceased grandmother submit the Succession Certificate issued by competent Court of Law,however, it is necessary on your part to give immediate Notice along with death certificate of your deceased grandmother to the bank as Nominee of those Fixed Deposits to stop the disbursement of the sum of those Fixed deposits to any person other than you specifying that your maternal aunt without any Succession Certificate in her favour( you are also entitled to have Succession of 50% share) is unlawfully holding those Original Fixed Deposit certificates for encashment thereof without your notice and knowledge and copy of such notice is required to be given to your maternal aunt also. In absence of any Succession Certificate produced by the legal heirs of the deceased person, the Nominee is entitled to get those FD amounts.
