Misconduct
During a friendly gossip I had expressed some un parliamentary word about my authority and my friend had it recorded secretly. Now he is trying to extort money from me or else he would transfer the video clip to the authority. If he did so, can I be punished for misconduct
A.Dear Sir,
Nothing to worry about it. First thing is recording it without your permission is illegal and you have no intention to use such words seriously. You can put your explanation properly and get it closed.

A.Dear client,
If he does send the clip, then you may be punished by said office or authority for misconduct. But this depends upon the language used and the context in which it was said. Simply complaining about some work, etc. may not lead to you getting punished.
Thank you.
