I have been married for 10 years and my husband is an alcohol addict. He has never taken care of the family emotionally or financially. I have 2 daughters and my in-laws have a property. Both my in-laws have passed away and now sister in law has taken over the property from my husband. My kids future is at risk. Can I report it to the police station or how to go about this situation

A.As you are having the chance of losing the property as your husband is alcohol addicted you need to to file the partition suit and if possible try to keep the original property documents with you .................... ..going to a police station may not solve your problem. How can the sister in law take over of the property... Has she started to come & stay in ur house..

A.Dear client,
You may file a suit asking for maintenance from your husband. You can claim that he is not supporting you and your children's financial needs. You have the right to claim this from your husband if he is the sole or main earner of the family. Moreover, regarding your sister taking your husband's property, you can file a complaint in the police station as long as the title of the property is under your husband's name and has been snatched from him without his consent.
Thank you.
