General rules of succession in the case of males.―The property of a male Hindu dying intestate
shall devolve according to the provisions of this Chapter:―
(a) firstly, upon the heirs, being the relatives specified in class I of the Schedule;

Son; daughter; widow; mother; son of a pre-deceased son; daughter of a pre-deceased son; son of a pre-deceased daughter; daughter of a pre-deceased daughter; widow of a pre-deceased son; son of a pre-deceased son of a pre-deceased son; daughter of a pre-deceased son of a pre-deceased son; widow of a pre-deceased son of a pre-deceased son.
A.Dear Client,
Since a son-in-law is not considered a part of the family of his father-in-law, he has no right in a property owned by the latter. Your wife be will be entitled to her share in the property.

A.If the wife predeceased her father, then son in law has no right of inheritance when his father in law dies.
If the wife was alive at the time of death of her father, then she will inherit her father's property but after her death when the husband and the children will inherit the property ,then that property no longer remains the ancestral property of father in law but will be considered as self acquired.
